Get To Know Me
I have 15 years of retail bank management experience, leading teams of up to 20, in person and remotely. During the global pandemic of 2020 & 2021, I saw a major shift in the retail banking industry. With more customers staying home, the use of our online and mobile banking platforms increased dramatically. I was inspired to learn more about the technology behind these platforms and how they were built.
I taught myself HTML in 2000 and had built multiple websites at the time. With that as a foundation, I looked for ways to expand my knowledge and bring my skillset up to date. I found the 100Devs program in early 2022 and I was immediately drawn to the passionate community and the revolutionary teaching style of the program's creator. Later that year, I stepped out of my management role so that I could spend more time focusing on adding to my stack and freelancing. I haven't looked back since.
I am currently freelancing and building passion projects. I am open to full-time full stack, front-end, or back-end development positions, remote work, and relocation, if the opportunity is right for my family.
In my free time I am a creator, outdoor enthusiest, and traveler. I am a woodworker, baker, and crocheter; an avid hiker, snowboarder, and rock climber. I love to explore new places, and eat all the food! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends playing tabletop and video games and building lego sets.
